Service starts by opening a table: you pick its number and the cover count. The table shows as occupied and the seating clock starts, so a manager can see free capacity without walking the floor.
You add items from the menu. Each tap increases the quantity and the price updates immediately. Nothing is hand-written, so the kitchen never receives an unreadable order.
When the order is fired its items appear on the kitchen display in sequence. The cook taps “ready”, so the server knows the dish is waiting instead of having to ask.
The table bill totals exactly what was ordered. Closing it frees the table for the next guest and records the sale.
At the same moment each dish’s ingredients are deducted from the store room per its recipe: chicken kabsa consumes a set amount of rice and chicken. This is the link an order pad cannot provide — the book balance matches the shelf without a manual count.
